I met Finn while asking random people to sing in Sarasota, FL. When I ask him what music he likes, I expect him to answer with newer music since he is so young. But despite his age, he has a well developed taste for the classics. So that's what's we sing!

As a musician, I'm all about creating musical experiences that have people feeling happy and free, and that's why the "Sing With Me" series exists. Since 2018, I have asked thousands of random people to sing with me on camera. A lot of people have said no, some have said no initially but changed their minds to yes, and some have said yes right away. I ask these people to sing with one purpose: to create a way for them to experience a sense of happiness and freedom they did not feel before. And much of the time, this actually works (and that makes ME happy).

Based in Harlem, Carver is one of the largest Black-run financial institutions in the U.S., celebrating its 75th anniversary in 2023. The bank is named after George Washington Carver and trades on the NASDAQ. Pugh was named CEO in 2012.Black businesses generated $206 billion in annual revenue and supported 3.56 million U.S. jobs in the last decade, according to the non-profit Brookings Institution. However, though Black people comprise 14.7% of the U.S. population, the community represents 12.4% of sole proprietorship and only 2.4% of employer businesses. Brookings said the stats show “disparities” that hold back Black entrepreneurs and “restrict economic opportunities for entire communities, which in turn impacts local prosperity.” Brookings also notes that access to sufficient capital remains a lingering issue for Black-owned businesses. That causes entrepreneurs to rely on personal funds and credit cards to finance operations.

For most people, working for a game developer likely sounds pretty cool. You get to bring the games that gave you so much joy to millions of people around the world. But, while the job looks fun from the outside, in reality, being a game developer is actually quite rough. For one, game companies are usually able to get away with paying game developers significantly less than market wages. Similarly, game developers generally end up working quite a bit more than traditional software engineers. This can mostly be explained by the fact that most people who become game developers do it out of passion. So, game companies are able to abuse this passion to milk out the most amount of work. This situation is only made worse by the fact that game development skills aren’t easily transferable to traditional tech companies. So, many developers often end up getting trapped within the gaming industry.
