Al Hamra (https://maps.app.goo.gl/CQb3WWBzcsrShUEo9) - Continuing with out South African street food tour and we’re trying the Extra Spicy Chicken Tikka.

Chip Shop (https://maps.app.goo.gl/TWGXAduLrq77FQbr5) - You can’t eat the most unique South African fast food without trying a Steak Rounder.

Rogerios - Next up we headed to Alexandra Township to meet up with Regerio and taste his Mozambican style Lemon Herb Chicken and Spicy Peri Peri Chicken.

Wow. Out of all the trips I've ever taken, this was one of the most meaningful. Ukraine. A country that was invaded almost 4 years ago, and continues fighting for it's survival until today. Everyone knows about that, everyone has seen the news.

But what is it like living in Ukraine in 2025? What is it like to travel the country, where there are no flights? What is like to be in a country where at any moment, air raid sirens could ring out, and a drone or missile could strike you? Somehow millions of Ukraine live with this reality everyday, and they're VERY used to it.

As someone who was put into jail for calling the Russian war in Ukraine an invasion - yes, that's right - I was more than ready to go and meet the people fighting this insane regime. This is my journey, from one end of Ukraine to the other.

War....that is all we hear from Ukraine these days. And without a doubt, war is ever present on the mind of every Ukranian, as drones strike their cities almost everyday.

But Ukranians also continue, amazingly, to live their lives. There is an amazing country that's been forgotten after the years of their war of defense. No one tells you about the varied landscapes the country offers; mountains, plains and even beaches in the south. Magnificent cities with thousands of years of history. And a population with a resilience and sense of humor like no other.

In spite of the risks I read in the media, I decided to travel Ukraine, from one end to another. This is my journey, from the capital Kyiv in the north, to the port city Odesa in the south. And what a journey it was..
